🌅 Christ the Redeemer at Sunrise – Yes, it’s touristy. But seeing one of the Seven Wonders of the World bathed in golden morning light? Absolutely surreal. 🚁 Helicopter Flight Over Sugarloaf & Christ the Redeemer – If there’s one luxury travel experience in Rio that made me fall head over heels for the city, this was it. Taking off from Sugarloaf Mountain, we soared over Christ the Redeemer, getting the most surreal, up-close aerial view of one of the world’s most famous landmarks. Seeing Rio from above was an entirely different experience—the city, the beaches, the mountains, all stretching out below, completely untouched by the chaos of street-level life. If you ever visit Rio, this is a must.

🎨 Exploring Local Markets & Finding the Perfect Souvenirs – One of my favorite things to do when traveling is finding a piece of a destination to take home with me. I spent time wandering through Rio’s bustling street markets, browsing beautiful handcrafted pieces, local art, and vibrant textiles. I ended up purchasing a stunning painting from a local artist, a piece that now hangs in my home as a reminder of this incredible trip. The markets in Rio de Janeiro were lively, colorful, and full of energy—exactly what I love about this city!

🥩 Amazing Food & Endless Brazilian Steakhouse Experience – The food in Rio was absolutely incredible. We had some of the best sushi I’ve ever had—fresh, perfectly prepared, and bursting with flavor. But one of the most memorable meals was at a Brazilian steakhouse (churrascaria), where the food just kept coming. Plate after plate of perfectly grilled meats, endless sides, and that classic Brazilian hospitality made it an experience in itself. It was so much food—but so worth it. If you’ve never been to a churrascaria before, prepare to eat until you can’t move (and then eat some more).

🎭 Escadaria Selarón – The Famous Steps – No visit to Rio is complete without stopping by Escadaria Selarón, the world-famous staircase covered in colorful tiles from over 60 countries. Each step tells a story, and standing there, taking it all in, felt like stepping into a work of art. The energy, the music playing in the background, and the constant buzz of visitors snapping photos—it was such a vibrant and unique part of Rio de Janeiro’s culture.
